The Addis International Film Festival 2011 of 4 days duration concluded on the 26th June 2011 with a grand Closing Ceremony attended by Filmmakers from different parts of the World along with Film-lovers of Ethiopia , sponsors of the Festival and the entire Organizing Committee of the AIFF.
Prominent among the V.I.P s was Sharon Mazarello from Goa (India) whose Konkani Film “TUM KITEM KORTOLO ASLO?” (What would you do ?) was screened at the Festival at the “Gullele Youth Center” (Cinema Hall) on the 24th June 2011 at 2.05pm.
In fact , the film “TUM KITEM KORTOLO ASLO? received quite an applause at the Festival.
Sharon Mazarello the Producer of the Film flew all the way to Ethiopia (Africa) along with her Co-Producer Mr Wilson Mazarello on the invitation of “Initiative Africa” the Main Organizing Body of the AIFF.
A Konkani Film being screened on the African Continent or even on international turf and that too for a foreign audience , was something unheard of in the past but now even that is history - GOAN HISTORY. This only goes to prove that Films are and will always be universal in nature and that there are no language-barriers to Films.
Sharon’s Konkani Film has now opened a new gateway for Goan Filmmakers to venture to any part of the world with their films , language being no hindrance at all.
