T.A.C.T. INSTITUTE [GOA] is an NGO registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1960 under Registration No. 91/GOA/92 dated 8th June 1992 having its registered office at T/1 C, Kurtarkar Nagar, Near Stadium, Fatorda, Goa 403 602.
It is the only NGO in the South Goa imparting training in Theatre [Tiatro], Dance, Music and films since the last 30 plus years, which is run by the topmost Personalities of the Tiatr World, with immense experience in the field of Arts & Culture.
Ever since its inception, TACT Institute has trained many a youth of Goa, through workshops and they are doing immensely well for themselves on the professional Konkani Tiatro stage.
The Institute has produced and staged various programmes for Government Departments like
- The Ministry of Environment & Forests {New Delhi}.
- Directorate of Health Services {Goa} to promote their respective public awareness issues like
- Protection of Environment,
- Protection of Plants and Wild Animals,
- Medicinal Plants and their Uses,
- National Integration,
- Polio Eradication,
- Sustainable Development
and many more such important issues, every year through Musical shows, Short Plays, Theatre, etc. thus educating the Public through entertainment, throughout the length and breadth of Goa. The shows were a huge success among the general public in both Urban and Rural areas.
TACT Institute has also produced short films in konkani which included topics like the Girl Child etc etc.
Folk dances like the Kunnbi, the Kharvi and other Goan popular dances, etc etc. were also promoted through TACT Institute.
With immense experience behind the resource persons, the Institute is still carrying on the above mentioned activities till date.
